you need to use. It worked fine the time before. Then when you give up and call tech support then find

Time and Date
Filed under Computer TipsMar 29New Calendar Tricks for Vista (and Windows 7)
You can bring up the clock and calendar at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen in Windows Vista and Windows 7. It’s a quick way finding past and future dates that you might need. Just click on the time of date and a window appears showing a calendar and clock. If you put your mouse over the calendar and use the scroll button you switch between months of the year, or you can use the arrow keys on the sides of the date. Also you can double click on the calendar and the calendar changes into years, double click again and the years change into decades. To get back to the original calendar just click on the year that you want and then click on the year again, then the month, or just close out the window and it will return to the correct time and date.

When you buy a new computer, and setting it up for the first time.
First thing that should be done before you ever plug in a cable or turn the power on is to read and understand the setup manual. Then check the parts list against what is in the box. (If you don’t understand something in the manual, call the manufacture, the number is in the manual for technical help. These people are more than willing to help you.)
The manual will help you to set up the computer the correct way, so that there will be no missed steps. Because it can be very frustrating when you turn the power on the computer and find out that didn’t hook up the speakers, mouse, or keyboard.(NOTE: If the keyboard or mouse is not plugged in the computer will not boot up.)
