To Duplicate tabs in Firefox, is to hold the Ctrl key and drag the tab you want to duplicate to an empty spot on the tab bar.

Minimize the Firefox toolbar
If you need a little more space on your screen, you can do it by minimizing the toolbar. First you free up space by replacing the big back button with a smaller control.
